Mcßae lured back

The former Tasman series motor-racing winner and United States Formula 5000 champion, Graham Mcßae, is a possible addition to the New Zealand internation Formula Pacific round to be held at Manfeild on Sunday. Mcßae, who scored a hattrick of victories at the Lady Wigram Trophy meetings in 1971-72-73, was a dominant force in F5OOO racing during the 19705, driving mainly self-built machinery. At one stage tipped as world championship material, Mcßae could be considered as the best New Zealand single seater driver, outside Formula One ranks. Mcßae became enthused about the present Formula Pacific series while watching the opening round of the series at Bay Park. If negotiations can be completed, he will drive the Ralt RT4, which was originally intended for Panl Radisich’s use before he subsequently became part of Graham Watson’s three-car Ralt Australia team.
