Pigeon Bay regatta
A strong wind on the final lap of the fourth race of the Pigeon Bay Boat Club’s regatta on Saturday caused havoc with the 60 entrants. The northerly broke gear and forced a number of withdrawals from the race. Only 20 boats started the fifth race later in the day. Results of the regatta were: Paper Tigers (4 starters).— Line honours: C. Keenan, Greased Lightnin, 1; C. Smith, Summer Love, 2. Trailer yachts (4).—Handicap: M. and P. Kennett, Proteus H, 1; A. Barrett, Rafferty, 2. R class (4).—Line honours: P. and S. Mackintosh, Growler, 1; K. Holland, 2. Javelins and 470 s (4).—Handicap: N. Buckley and J. Collingwood, Zenith, 1.
