Key game set down for final round
The match which could decide the outcome of the Hansell’s Cup national women’s cricket tournament, will not be played until the last round. Canterbury will meet North Shore on January 5-6, with both teams having high hopes of claiming victory. When the teams met last year at the tournament in Auckland in the second round, North Shore headed Canterbury on the first innings, and, set 205 for victory, finished 106/5. In the opening round, today and tomorrow, Wellington will meet Central Districts, Canterbury wififace Southern Districts and North Shore will play Auckland.
In the second round, Wellington will take on Southern
Districts, Central Districts wifi meet Norft Shore and Canterbury will . play Auckland, on December 29-30. For the third round, on New Year’s Day and January 2, Southern Districts wifi do battie With Auckland, Wellington will play North Shore and Central Districts will meet Canterbury. It will be a case of the far north, North Shore, against the far south, Southern Districts, in the fourth round, on January 3-4. In other games, Wellington will play Canterbury and Central Districts will meet Auckland. Central Districts will face Southern Districts in the final round, while Wellington will play Auckland.
