Future of airline
PA Nelson An announcement on the future of Nelson-based Air Albatross would be made soon, the chief executive, Mr Murray Turley, said. Meanwhile the commuter airline would maintain its flight schedules “within aircraft availability,” he said. Mr Turley said last week that the firm needed an immediate cash injection. Receivership was possible, but not a forgone conclusion. He said yesterday that discussions with interested parties were continuing.
89.5 per cent Steel and Tube Holdings, Ltd, said it now holds 89.5 per cent of the ordinary shares in EMCO Group, Ltd and 96.2 per cent of the specified preference shares. It added that the take-over offer has been extended from December 20 to January 31.
