Unfortunate—Mr Blazey
PA Wellingtonx The New Zealand Rugby Football Union chairman, Mr Ces Blazey, said that the refusal of leave to appeal to the Privy Council was “unfortunate” because the decision was so important. “We (the N.Z.R.F.U.) shall just have to consider our
options,” he said, adding that the union’s lawyers would be consulted over the next few days. Mr Blazey said it would premature to speculate on what steps the N.Z.R.F.U. was likely to take. “But we will certainly be looking at the matter very carefully,” he said.
