NZPA-AP Davenport, lowa A disc jockey who played the song, “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer,” 27 times in less than 3% hours would be back on the job tomorrow because he had promised to behave himself, radio station officials said yesterday. Jack Daniels was reinstated after station WLLR received hundreds of calls some from England and Ireland — on his behalf,
said Ray Randall, the programme director. Daniels was suspended indefinitely. on Wednesday after he had continued to* play the song in defiance of Mr Randall’s orders. , Daniels said that he had decided to play the song to get himself and his listeners A into the Christmas spirit J Mr Randall said that 7 Daniels would be on probation for 90 days and had received a reprimand in addition to the two-day suspension.
