Seven hurt in accidents
Seven persons were injured in separate road accidents in Christchurch late last evening. Three persons were injured in a two-car collision at the corner of Bealey Avenue and Madras Street, at 11.30 p.m. Injuries were moderate, with a minor head injury and a back injury, said a spokesman for
the St John Ambulance. In another road accident, four persons were injured in a two-car collision at the corner of Russley Road and Wairakei Road at 11.54 p.m. The Fire Service attended both accidents with lighting and helped to clean up petrol spillage. No names were available last evening.
