Car for 5 cents
PA Tauranga The seller of a 1967 car had 86 replies to his advertisement. Some were so eager they included the asking price in their replies. The lucky new owner, aged 17, paid up without a blink—five 1c pieces. The owner had asked would-be buyers to give details of age, hobbies, ambitions and ideals. He and his wife recently bought another car, and thought so much of their old one they wanted to sell it for 5c to a young person who could not otherwise afford a car.
