N.Z. cyclist on list
NZPA-AAP Melbourne A New Zealander, Wayne Hildred, has been included along with three former amateurs and a South African among Australia’s top professional cyclists for next year. Cyclists on the newly released Australian Professional Cycling Council’s list of top Category One professional riders will have first
priority for selection in all Category One races from January 1 next year. The former amateurs on the 20-strong list are the Los Angeles Olympic track pursuit gold medallist, Michael Grenda, of Tasmania, a Brisbane Commonwealth Games road race representative, Rick Flood, of Geelong, and a Bendigo all-rounder, Tony Hughes.
