Man out of intensive care
One of two persons seriously injured in separate road accidents in Canterbury recently has improved slightly and is out of the intensive care unit in Christchurch Hospital.
Mr Brent Gemmell, aged 20, of Christchurch, has been transferred to a general ward but remains on the seriously ill list, said hosjtital staff.
Mr Gemmell was seriously injured when the car in which he was a passenger was in head-on collission with a truck on the Tunnel Road on Monday afternoon. Mrs Euphemia Beveridge, aged 81, of Linwood, is still seriously ill in the intensive care unit after suffering multiple injuries in a headon collision involving two cars near Kir wee last Friday. X
