NZPA-Reuter London The Marquis of Blandford, a great-nephew of the late Sir Winston Churchill, was ordered to be held in jail yesterday on conspiracy charges arising from a police seizure of cocaine valued at £50,000 ($143,500). London magistrates ruled
that Blandford, aged 30, heir to Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Britain’s wartime leader, should be held in custody pending another hearing in seven days. \ Blandford appeared with four co-defendants all facing charges of contravening laws against misuse of drugs. t ,
