Dutch Christmas

A Dutch Christmas service will be held in Christchurch on Friday. The service, which has been held in Christchurch for 30 years, will be held at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, at 8 p.m. The Dutch services were first started to cater for the big community of Dutch migrants in the city. Although there are now few exclusively Dutchspeaking people in Christchurch, the service continues to attract about 200. people each year. The service is organised jointly by the Presbyterian Church and local Reformed churches.
