First for choir

The newly-formed Arts Centre Treble Boys Choir will give its inaugural concert tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Arts Centre, followed by a lunchtime recital on Friday at 1.10 p.m. The choir was formed in September this year by Mr

Clifton Cook, after his retirement from St Andrews College. The choir has about 30 voices and such is the development of some of the voices that Mr Cook will present them as treble soloists at this concert, in a repertoire of Christmas

carols. The concert will also feature four promising young pupils of Clifton Cook and Christopher Doig: Simon Kane, Kerry Henderson, Michael Jackson and Andrew Dailey in a programme of operatic arias, and German and English art songs.
