Brief Details of Project The site is on the corner of Durham Street and Chester Street West in Christchurch. The building to be constructed is of 8 levels with a total floor area of approximately 7038 sq m. The structure is to be built on the existing concrete basement and foundations and also connected to the existing building on site. The frame is reinforced concrete columns, shear walls, beams and waffle slab floors and is clad in precast concrete wall or window panels. Roofs are copper and butynol sheathed. Windows are aluminium. The building has standard and special lighting and electrical services, is fully sprinklered for fire protection, is partly air conditioned and partly mechanically ventilated and is heated electrically via LPHW radiators and the ventilation system.
