The appointee will work with professional staff in the Branch with particular emphasis on the analysis of present and future requirements for reactive power. This will involve independent investigative tasks as well as contribution to team efforts and there will be some liaison with operational staff. An interest in using computers as analytical tools and the ability to present study results giving the most economic and technical appropriate solutions to given problems will be sought. - Knowledge of the New Zealand Power System would be an advantage although training will be given.
