These are: FOOD SCIENTIST To join the horticulture processing research group. Evaluation of processing options, chemical and sensory qualities of processed products, product development, market awareness and commercialisation of the new developments are Important aspects of the research programme. Facilities are excellent. Qualifications preferred are a good honours degree, or PhD. in a food related discipline. Research experience is desirable but not essentail. Training in and an aptitude for pilot plant trial work is sought. SENSORY EVALUATION TECHNICIAN AS A MEMBER OF A 3 PERSON GROUP. Duties will Involve assisting in sensory evaluation studies covering a range of topics in the areas of fresh and processed horticulture products and fish products. Comparisons between cultures in their sensory responses to the products are also studied. Facilities are excellent. Qualifications N.Z.C.S., Dip. Home Science, B.Sc. or equivalent.
