Some knowledge and/or experience with current business systems, computer technology and methods of research is desirable and a Degree or Diploma in Nursing will be taken into consideration. This position is responsiblethrough the Nurse In Charge to the Principal Nurse, for the safe administration of nursing practice through efficient staff manangement in the areas of ante and post natal care, delivery suite and special care baby unit. The appointee will be required to participate in planning and policy decisions as a member of the management team and to be available for appropriate committee membership as required. This is a responsible and challenging position for a competent professional nurse with a keen interest in the welfare of maternal and child health, who has special counselling skills and innovative progressive ideas and desires to make a contribution in this field, while enjoying a relaxed lifestyle in an attractive provincial city.
