HZZ Our Ruapehu to appoint by 1 April, a General Manager to understudy the present General Manager and undertake full responsibility following the 1986 ski season for its developing activities. The position will be based at Mount Ruapehu and housing will be provided initially at Turangi, central to many attractive amenities and pursuits. The prime requirements are a full range of managerial skills, with particular emphasis on planning and marketing, and the ability to lead and motivate staff. There is a full time operational staff which is substantially increased during the season. The person we seek would preferably have some tertiary qualification, with skills in marketing, budgeting and administration and proven ability in a position of managerial responsibility. A knowledge of tourism and skiing would be an advantage. The potential for market development is high, such that entrepreneurial and innovative flair will also be sought A substantial salary will be negotiated, plus housing and motor vehicle, as well as the opportunity for a unique career combined with an attractive life style.
