Man kills his family, then himself

NZPA-AAP Sydney A man shot his family dead then himself in Sydney on Wednesday night, a day after he had received a court order limiting his access to his three children, the police said yesterday. The court order, which allowed Sergio Gianfrancesco, aged 38, to see his two young daughters and son three days a week but denied him access to the family home, had been sworn out at the Fairfield Court on Tuesday. Mr Gianfrancesco shot dead his wife, Nella, aged 31, and then his daughters,

Lina aged seven, Patricia, six, and his son, Sonny, aged three. . ’ Mr Gianfrancesco then shot himself. He had gone earlier to the home of his former father-in-law, Enno Bacci, aged 53, in nearby. Cabfamatta West, and:shot him ip a leg. The police said that, investigations had showed Mrs Gianfrancesco sought the court order after being threatened by her husband. The couple had had . a history of domestic unrest after their divorce 12 months ago. r Mr Bacci is recovering in hospital. ;
