Stabbing in street
A man was stabbed after what the police believe was an attempted robbery in Victoria Street about 9.40 p.m. yesterday. The victim, whose name and age were not available, was taken to Christchurch Hospital suffering from a cut to the chin and concussion.
His condition was not available last evening. The victim was attacked in Victoria Street near its junction with Dorset Street. The police questioned two persons last evening in connection with the incident. Inquiries into the incident will continue.
