Mr David Cook, a representative of PDL Industries, with a double New Zealand Industrial Design Council award which he received from the member of Parliament for Yaldhurst, Mrs Margaret Austin. The council made the awards to the Christchurch-based firm on Monday for electrical design and safety. PDL Industries was awarded a Designmark for its range of waterproof switches, sockets, and plugs, which have already won a Prince Philip Award. The forerunners of this range won a New Zealand Design Award. In addition to the awards, PDL has been admitted to corporate membership of the Design Council in recognition of the company’s continued support of the objectives of the council.
