District judge named
PA Wellington Alexander James Twaddle has been appointed a District Court judge .at Invercargill, the /Minister of Justice, Mr Palmer, said.
Mr Twaddle was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 1969, having graduated from the University of Auckland.
In 1973 he began practise with the firm of Thomson Wilson Fidler and Heenan of Whangarei and is now employed with this firm. Mr Twaddle has gained wide experience in. both the High Court and District Court in matrimonial, civil and criminal jury work, Mr Palmer said. He was the Northern representative on. the Law Society Council for six years. ’/ He is 38, married, with one child. /
