Toyworld, with six stores in Christchurch, offers a wide variety of toys and gifts for Christmas. Toyworld has 96 shops throughout New Zealand and its own warehouse in Wellington, which offers the, chain considerable purchasing power, says the manager of Toyworld in Riccarton Mall, Mr Clarkson. “We try to keep our prices down for Christmas,” he says. The Toyworld Christmas catalogue-lists many toys at special prices. When Christmas shopping,
“go to the specialist,” advises Mr Clarkson — and Toyworld has been dealing in toys for nearly 10 years. Gift tokens are available for those unsure of what to give, and the stores offer layby facilities. Toyworld can also organise and pack gifts for the end-of-year social club parties for children. Toyworld stocks all the popular toys, Cabbage Patch kids, Transformers, dolls, trucks, outdoor equip-
ment and soft toys. Toyworld has a shop in Riccarton Mall which is entirely devoted to soft toys at Toyworld’s Little Corner. well-known games such as Downfall, Guess Who, Simon, Gribbit, and Scotland Yard are all at special prices.
The staff at Toyworld have been fighting thenway through new stock which has been arriving daily, so there is lots to chose from for Christmas.
