Easing, trade
Technical barriers to trade between Britain, New Zealand, and Australia have been eased as a result of agreements reached at the International Laboratory Accreditation Conference in Ottawa in October.
The United Kingdom’s National Measurement Accreditation Service (N.A.M.A.S.) signed mutual recognition agreements with its counterparts in Australia (N.A.T.A., National Association of Testing Authorities) and New Zealand (T.E.L.A.R.C., Testing Laboratory Registration Council). . Now, endorsed test reports and certificates of calibration issued by the accredited laboratories of N.A.M.A.S., N.A.T.A., and T.E.L.A.R.C. will have equal status.
