Midday marriage mayhem
Frank Sinatra, Deborah Kerr, Dean Martin and Cesar Romero get together for a bit of midlife crisis comedy at lunchtime today in the Midday Movie on Two. “Marriage on the Rocks” had Deborah Kerr filing for divorce from Sinatra on the grounds of boredom. On advice from her husband’s footloose business partner
(Dean Martin), she and Sinatra head for Mexico to try a - second honeymoon. The pair are taken in hand by Cesar Romero who plays an attorney who specialises in speedy marriages and even speedier divorces. Before anyone knows what is happening, an argument leads to divorce and then the fun really begins.
