Aust.-N.Z. pay worry
PA Auckland The Auckland Employers’ Association is concerned about what it sees as the growing disparity in wage settlements in New Zealand and Australia. “During 1985, wage movements in Australia have been only 6.5 per cent, with no further bargaining above this,” said the association’s president, Mr Bill Jarvie, yesterday after a council meeting. “In New Zealand the 15.5 per cent seen as the norm at the start of the wage round is already being eclipsed.”
