Progress in space
NZPA-NYT Cape Canaveral Crew members of the space shuttle Atlantis, their seven-day orbital mission nearly behind them, said yesterday that their flight had taken a significant step toward the establishment of a large space station.
The astronauts worked out space station construction techniques and made progres in developing a gravity-free pharmaceutical factory.
