A wide range of duties will include: © Union administration and organisation, including responsibility for the union’s finances. © Industrial advocacy before the Arbitration Court, the Waterfront Industry Tribunal and In conciliation and dispute hearings. • Management of the National Office. The successful applicant will be required to coordinate the activities of a small team of workers in Head Office, to work with and serve on the Management Committee and National Council of the Union, and to serve as a trustee for the Union’s Superannuation Scheme. Candidates should possess a high standard of oral and written communication skills, reference will be given to a person holding qualifications in law, economics, or industrial relations, with a sound background in industrial relations advocacy, and with appropriate management skills.
