T-Bill rates
Interest rates on Treasury bills eased back at yesterday $BO million bill tender. Rates averaged 19.579 per cent for 21 days and 19.647 per cent for 77 davs, compared with rates of around 20 per cent last week. Dealers bid a solid $322 million for the $BO million of bills on offer. Solander-1 The Solander-1 well, off the coast of Southland, was at a depth of 579 metres yesterday, NZ Oil and Gas, Ltd reported. A 20 inch casing had .been set at 547.
