for 87 off 50 overs. On Saturday, South Canterbury started the match with a hiss and roar having North Otago on the verge of collapse at 80-5, but failed to keep the heat on the southern batsmen, in particular Graeme Johnston, who managed to keep the North Otago innings together, in compiling his 51 runs.
