AKAROA PROMOTIONS
A peaceful little holiday resort
Between now and Christmas, Akaroa remains a peaceful little seaside resort — just the place to visit for a relaxing break before the holiday rush. To make your stay more comfortable and interesting, many changes are taking place in Akaroa. For instance, both hotels and the Village Inn complex are extensively up-grading their facilities, and a minigolf course is also under construction. A major step forward was the recent introduction of launch trips around the harbour and bays, which is proving very popular with visitors. For those looking for more conventional activities, there is the golf club at Duvauchelles, and the bowling green, tennis courts, and paddle boats in Akaroa. A casual stroll around the historic streets and lanes is also a very interesting pastime. With the warmer summer weather coming on, now is the time to come on over.
