0 Blue Lagoon Cruises Engineering Manager Applications art invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the above position located at Lautoka, Fiji. The successful applicant will hold a recognised engineering qualification and will have previously held a senior executive position with experience in maintenance engineering and quality control procedures. Particular emphasis will be placed on a proven ability in the formulation, implementation and control of systems designed to maintain cabins and public areas to deluxe standards. A general knowledge of diesel engines, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical work will be required. Marine engineering certificates are not essential, however, some previous experience in ships construction and/or maintenance will be necessary. Blue Lagoon carries over 19.000 passengers per annum in five tourist cruise vessels of approximately 130 feet and the new deluxe 184 feet. m.v. 'Yasawa Princess’. Further new construction is planned for 1986. This is a senior executive position reporting directly to the company’s General Manager. Salary and fringe benefits are negotiable.
