Bass singer, Rodney Macann, will present a master class on the performance of songs taken from, the operatic, oratorio and lieder repertoires. He will work with a group of promising young singers.

Bach’s St Matthew Passion has for many years been regarded as one of the finest in Britain. During the last few years Rodney Macann has moved increasingly into opera. His performance in the title role of Tippett’s “King Priam” was very highly acclaimed. He recently appeared in the Royal Christchurch Musical Society’s “Nabucco” concert. The master class will be held from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. tomorrow at the University of Canterbury School of Music.
