Emphasis on software
Businessworld places a major emphasis on software development and support. Businessworld Systems is a separate division of the company, with a skilled software development team producing specialised packages which are distributed and supported throughout New Zealand. These include systems for legal offices, general business accounting appliances, chartered accountants, hire purchase, private hospitals, sharebroking, and the automotive industry. Businessworld starts with
the large number of programs available for the IBM product range. From there customised applications can be developed for a
single user, for a number of users on a local area network, or for a number of users on a multi-user computer system.
