What’s green, croaks and tastes good? One of Indonesia's first astronauts, that’s what.
Indonesia plans to put a giant Sumatran frog on board a United States space shuttle next June, along with a scientist and an Indonesian satellite.
The frog, yet to be selected, will accompany Indonesia’s first human astronaut, Pratiwi Soedarmona, aged 33, a woman scientist. Antara did not say what sex the frog would be.
The big frog, normally about 75cm (30 inches) long, is considered a delicacy by Chinese-Indonesians.
It would undergo scientific experiments in space, Antara said.
