First S.C. success
South Canterbury recorded its first men’s softball victory over Canterbury for more than 30 years when the teams met at Timaru last week-end.
The former Southland catcher, Peter McMinn, gave South Canterbury its historic victory when he hit a home run in the eighth innings for the 2-1 win.
Canterbury, however, bounced back to form in its second game, beating Otago 8-
