Oamaru T.C.

Special correspondent Dunedin Skipper Dale dominates the Taita Transport Handicap, the first leg of the T.A.B. double and third leg of the T.A.B. treble at the Oamaru Trotting Club’s meeting tomorrow. Skipper Dale has had four wins and an unlucky second in five starts. The Oamaru-owned five-year-old was unlucky last time out when beaten a long

neck by Andronicus after working clear late. He had won his three other starts this season, the first by eight lengths over tomorrow’s distance, 2600 m at Oamaru in August. His racing has been marked by promptness from the barrier and this should enable him to make light of a 10m handicap. Star Lady, a last-start

winner at Motukarara, and Dunlord, which has been placed recently, seem the most likely to test Skipper Dale. Jimmy Scott makes most appeal in an open field for the second leg of the T.A.B. double. Jimmy Scott was placed in stronger company at Ashburton and has previously won at Oamaru.
