All Breeds Dog Show at Swannanoa Domain
Sheep dogs are not the only canine attraction to feature in North Canterbury during Labour week-end. Dogs from all over New Zealand will be arriving at the Swannanoa Domain on Labour Day for the North Canterbury Kennel Association’s All Breeds Dog Show. The show has attracted 723 entries, from as far away as Auckland and In-
vercargill, and 91 different breeds of dog will be represented. Included in the total entry is a $2OO all-breeds puppy sweepstake. The main prize for the best-in-the-show award will be judged at about 4 p.m., by Mr E. G. Hall, of Queensland. All the dogs will be judged by four of Australia’s top judges, including Mr Hall and Mrs Betty Hall
from Queensland, and Messrs Ken and John Rawles from New South Wales. The president of the association, Mr David Fifield, the secretary, Mrs Margaret Brown, and the committee of seven extend a warm welcome to all the exhibitors and public who attend the show, which begins at 9 a.m.
