C. Nordqvist fined $50
Carl Nordqvist, the driver of Prinz in the Marjac Handicap at Motukarara on Saturday, was fined $5O for striking a wheel of the sulky of the tiring Sparkling Princess with about 400 m to run. A similar fine was imposed on lan Cameron for the late scratching of Viewfield Lass from the Sayers Meats Handicap. Gold and Black was relegated from second to fourth for breaking near the finish of the Gallery Interiors, Ltd, Handicap. Vicki McQuade and Spangled Lord were promoted to second and third respectively.
