A.C.C job for former police chief
PA Wellington A former chief superintendent of police, Mr Maurice Cummings has been appointed assistant managing director of the Accident Compensation Corporation. The managing director, Mr J. T. Chapman, said that Mr Cummings, aged 46, would be redesignated as a second deputy managing director when legislation had been amended to provide for two deputies of equal status. Mr Vince Morel, aged 47, formerly the controller of corporate services for the corporation had been appointed as the other deputy managing director, Mr Chapman said. Mr Morel would be responsible for the corporation’s policy and technical matters, and Mr Cum mings’s responsibilities included operations and administration.
