It Is an offence to light a fire in the open in these areas without a written permit, throughout the year. The sighting of any fires within or threatening these areas should be reported to the nearest Forest Headquarters — collect call If necessary. PROPERTY OWNERS WITHIN THE FIRE SAFETY MARGIN OF STATE AREAS PLEASE, NOTE: Plan your burning programme early to allow sufficient time for Inspection of proposed burn and where necessary, preparation of a burn plan for your guidance.
