Spotting cars
The New Observer’s Book of Automobiles. By Stuart Bladon. Frederick Warne, 1985. 192 pp. $6.95. This latest pocket-book for carspotters, the twenty-eighth to be produced, gives pictures and details of 180 models from all over the world. Many of them are not seen in New Zealand, but most of the names will be familiar to car enthusiasts — although some may struggle to place the Yugo, the Naylor, and the Dacia. The technical information given includes road-test figures, and a thumbnail sketch of features and faults. It should settle most arguments. — A. J. Petre.
