Shooting seminar
Two of Canterbury’s outstanding fullbore marksmen, John Whiteman and Geoff Smith, will take part in a national coaching clinic at Trentham from November 15 to 17. The veteran Westport competitor, Morrie Callaghan, and Graeme Webb, from Blenheim, are also attending. About 30 of New Zealand’s leading, and promising riflemen will take part.
The clinic will be run by two shooters, Graham Derby, of Wellington, and Steve Bower, from Auckland, who have competed in the United States and are well regarded as coaches. It is the first New Zealand training seminar the National Rifle Association has held. The shooters will take part in the Wellington spring meeting on November 16. A
