Workout for Tiny Lord
Tiny Lord produced a good run to hold out Hamy’s Pride and Wychingham Al in the main trial at the Motukarara workouts yesterday. After being caught without cover early, he was sent to the lead with 1900 m to run and was never headed, recording 3min 35.8 s for the 2600 m, the last 800 m was covered in Imin 3.6 s and the last 400 m took 30.45.
Lucky Yank led throughout the trotters heat to beat Tussle (70m) and Scotch Leigh (20m) posting 3min 41.25.
Maiden heat winners were Kiss and Coo (3min 41.55), which is now being trained by Colin de Filippi, and Albear (3min 37.15). The two-year-old heat over one mile was won by the Ivan Schwamm-trained Smooth Harry in 2min 17.55.
