$50M of bills
PA Wellington A Treasury bill tender of SSOM of 35-day bills will be held this week, the Reserve Bank said. Last week no bills were offered because of the September tax drain. The bank said that, although significant cash injections were expected towards the end of the tender’s settlement week, such as regular social welfare payments, Government interest payments and maturities of securities, there were some uncertainties about the timing and size of the September tax flow. Accordingly, it was decided to limit the offering at the weekly tender and to stand ready to sell securities out of portfolio as the size of cash injections towards the end of the week became clearer.
