Report on alleged strip filming soon
PA Wellington The Minister of Police, Mrs Hercus, expects to receive the report from the Commissioner of Police, Mr Ken Thompson, on the alleged filming of a strip search of an Auckland lawyer, Mrs Lorraine Smith, “in about a week.”
The report was called for by the Acting Minister of Police, Mr Caygill, while Mrs Hercus was in Nairobi recently at the United Nations conference marking the end of the Decade for Women.
A spokesman for Mrs Hercus’s office said Mr Thompson’s report on allegations about the Christ-
church Central Police Station incident was “about a week away.”
