Maori team in training
A total of 26 players have been named by the Canterbury Maori Rugby Management Committee to train for a game against Canterbury B on August 24. The players are: Ru Koha, Ross Tarawhiti, Merv Aoke, Bruce Amai, Alistair Bolt, John Robbins, Hud Rickett, Mike Fransen, Theo Gomans, Brent Whakataka, Nga Katae, Lamen Hohaia, Phil Cross, Ralph Robertson, Duke Jones, George Poutu, Brett Ellison, Mardy Vincent, Dean Couch, Ned Tamatea, Ernie Goodhue, Richard MacDonald, Sam Hale, Thomas Miki, Dean Shelford, Shane Menehira. Training is to be held at Nunweek Park on Sunday.
