Fitness doubt over Haden
PA Auckland The Auckland rugby team could be without its captain, Andy Haden, for national championship matches against Southland on Wednesday and North Auckland on Saturday. Haden, who strained his right hamstring in training last week, took only a minor part in training yesterday. He has been bracketed with
Martin Brooke for Wednesday’s game. Although the Auckland selector-coach, Mr John Hart, will not decide on Haden’s fitness until Tuesday evening, it seems likely that Brooke will play his third game for Auckland. Mr Hart said there must be doubt whether Haden would be fit for the North Auckland game.
