Paint sprayed on boy
PA Auckland Glue-sniffers held down a small boy, aged three, and covered him in spray paint yesterday after he disturbed them while they wrote grafitti on a skateboard bowl.
The boy was covered from head to toe in black and silver paint, and the aerosol spray was pushed into his hair and ears. He was unable to tell police how many youths attacked him. An onlooker, who did not want to be named for fear of retaliation, said the boy ran to a nearby school screaming for help. He was taken home and his parents sought advice on how the paint could be removed without irritating his skin.
The police searched Mangere for the gang of youths, last seen running towards the town centre, but had made no immediate arrests.
