The successful applicant will be required to provide a full range of engineering skills particularly with regard to Council’s roading programme. Of particular importance is the ability to design shape correction and road improvement works, to be able to prepare an annual sealing works contract and be able to provide surveying and contract supervision services. Additional skills associated with Local Body Engineering (l.e. on water supply and sewerage systems or on bridging works) would be very useful. The person appointed will work directly for the County Engineer (additional engineering services being provided by Consulting Engineers) and must be able to work with the minimum of supervision.
